Kavalan Solist Amontillado Sherry Single Cask 70cl

Kavalan Amontillado Sherry is matured and aged in Amontillado Sherry casks, which provide a unique combination of both dry and nutty characteristics. Bottled at cask strength, this whisky offers a rich and complex flavour profile.

Matured in Amontillado cask, it expresses sweet and exotics notes of dried fruits dominated by chestnut.

The whisky is intense and aromatic on the nose, with notes of dried figs, raisins, and caramel. Layers of toasted almonds (or chestnuts), dark chocolate, and a hint of spice add complexity and depth. A full-bodied whisky which is robust on the palate, with rich flavours of toffee. It expresses sweet and exotics dried fruits, and roasted nuts. The Amontillado Sherry adds a distinctive dryness, balanced by a sweet, creamy texture. The finish is long, with lingering notes of oak, spice, and a subtle nuttiness.

Kavalan Amontillado Cask was rewarded World Best Single Cask and Single Malt at the World Whiskies Awards 2016 and also a Platinum runner-up to Kavalan Solist Fino Sherry Single Cask Strength Single Malt Whisky, in the The Beverage Testing Institute 2024.
