Caol Ila Distillers Edition Single Malt Whisky 43% 70cl

2009 vintage bottled in 2021, from Islay distillery Caol Ila, the Distillers Edition Single Malt Whisky was finished in Moscatel barrels, a type of sweet wine that is similar to sherry. The smoke from the peated barley used to make the whisky is still present, but it intermingles with a range of dried fruit, cherry, and spice notes, bringing a unique twist to the house style from this beloved distillery. The distillers edition of Caol Ila is richer and more intensely layered than the original expression, whilst remaining true to the distillery’s crisp character.
